Safari Overview
A focused private gorilla trekking escape in Uganda, with a full day in the extraordinary Bwindi rainforest and scenic countryside drives. This is a private safari proposal, with your accommodation choices and activity arrangements agreed before booking. Travel times are indicative and depend on roads, weather, park arrangements and border formalities where applicable.
Suggested route: Entebbe – Bwindi – Entebbe.
Detailed Day-by-Day Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Drive from Entebbe to Bwindi
Meet your driver-guide in Entebbe and set off early for the long journey through southwestern Uganda. Pass changing farmland, hills and small trading centres, stopping for lunch and photographs along the way. Reach the Bwindi region late in the afternoon or evening, check into your chosen lodge and receive a briefing about the next morning.
Overnight: A suitable lodge or hotel in the overnight destination, chosen after your preferred comfort level and availability are confirmed.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, transfer to the assigned park briefing point. Rangers explain the trekking guidelines before leading your group through steep, sometimes muddy forest terrain to a habituated mountain gorilla family. Trek duration varies, and the permitted viewing time is normally one hour. Return to the lodge to rest and reflect on the encounter; the trekking permit must be secured in advance.
Overnight: A suitable lodge or hotel in the overnight destination, chosen after your preferred comfort level and availability are confirmed.
Day 3: Return to Entebbe
Enjoy breakfast before setting out on another full day of travel to Entebbe. Stop along the journey for lunch and short comfort breaks, with arrival depending on traffic and road conditions. We recommend booking a late-night flight or adding an extra night near the airport rather than relying on an early departure connection.
Overnight: Safari ends after the agreed drop-off; additional accommodation can be arranged if required.

Important Safari Planning Notes
Gorilla trekking participants must be at least 15 years old. Permit availability is limited and every trek follows the relevant park authority rules. Wild animals move freely, so sightings and trekking durations cannot be guaranteed. Accommodation and activities are proposed options until we confirm space and receive your approval. Please share your travel dates and group size for a current quotation.
