The journey
At Murchison Falls the entire Victoria Nile forces itself through a gap only a few metres wide before plunging into the gorge below. It is an extraordinary sight, and the park around it is Uganda’s largest, with herds of elephant, Rothschild’s giraffe, buffalo and lion on the northern plains.
On the way north we stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track white rhino on foot, the only place in Uganda where rhinos can be seen today.
