The journey
Queen Elizabeth National Park stretches from the Rwenzori foothills to the shores of Lake Edward, and few places in Africa pack so much variety into a single park. Open savannah, crater lakes, papyrus swamp and forest are all within a day’s drive.
Over five days you will search the Kasenyi plains for lion, leopard and herds of Uganda kob, cruise the Kazinga Channel among hippos and buffalo, and travel south to Ishasha, home of the park’s famous tree-climbing lions.
Highlights
- Morning and afternoon game drives on the Kasenyi plains
- Afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel
- Searching for tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector
- The crater lakes and views across to the Rwenzori Mountains
- Private 4×4 Land Cruiser and guide throughout
Good to know
This journey combines easily with gorilla trekking in Bwindi or chimpanzee trekking in Kibale. Ask Jackson to extend it.
